The Yankee Rowe Community Advisory Board (CAB) was established in 1998 to promote open communication, public involvement, and education on remaining decommissioning and fuel storage activities at the Yankee Rowe plant.

With the completion of demolition of the plant in 2005, the CAB transitioned to a Fuel Storage and Removal advisory board to promote and enhance open communication, public involvement and education on the interim storage of spent fuel and high-level waste at the former Yankee Rowe plant site and to advocate for its prompt removal as required by federal statute and contract with the U.S. Department of Energy.

The CAB represents diverse interests of the local community with members from local towns, government, business and organizations.

The Yankee Rowe Community Advisory Board (CAB) meets twice a year in the spring and fall. The next CAB meeting is scheduled for October 18, 2006. Location of the meeting TBD.
