The Role You Can Play
Yankee Atomic is committed to an open and informed public process that supports site closure. To achieve this, we have designed our website so that we can better provide to all of our stakeholders accurate and timely information about site closure at the Yankee Nuclear Power Station.
Stakeholders can use our website to keep current on the site closure process, and to contact the company with questions or suggestions.
A significant part of our outreach plan is directed to government regulators, with whom we plan to communicate on a continuing basis. Strong communications and coordination are essential so that we can complete the site closure process in a secure, timely and cost-effective manner that satisfies all applicable regulatory standards.
Throughout the project, we will continue to work closely with the 15-member Yankee Rowe Community Advisory Board, a diverse group representing local towns, government, businesses and organizations that convenes four times a year to review major developments at the plant.
